Localised AD for Municipal Waste

Local authorities are becoming increasingly aware of the benefits of localised AD as an inexpensive and locally acceptable method of dealing with municipal waste

Cuts in budgets, recent slashing of PFi initiatives and increasingly vociferous local opposition are threatening more and more of the large cetralised waste disposal plants that have been proposed in recent years.

We can offer small scale localised solutions using proven technology that significantly reduce capital, operational and transport costs at virtually no risk. Incidences of nimbyism are reduced, local jobs created and secured and environmental impacts reduced as well.

We have developed a process with our technology partners to dry and pelletise our digestate which can then be conveniently and safely stored. The pellets are suitable for agricultural applications using standard equipment or as biomass fuel in existing applications. This allows us to install plant in more suburban areas than was previously practical.
