Julian Maiklem : Managing Director

Brought up on the family dairy farm, Julian has been environmentally aware for as long as he can remember. He and his wife lucy planted their first permaculture garden in Cornwall during 1992. In 1999 after the birth of daughter Polly, Julian became involved in the world of reusable cotton nappies. Since 2005, Julian has been researching the combined recycling of farmyard manures, food waste and disposable nappies and reducing landfill.

Paul Hammersley: Director

Paul is from farming stock and spent much of his childhood living between family farms and boarding school. Paul spent 17 years in the IT industry, his career spanned from early mainframe programming into systems analysis, project management, sales support and managing a small consultancy. Paul has worked in a wide variety of industry sectors from civil engineering and agriculture to telecommunications and defence.

Pauls direct commonsence approach and ability to problem solve from 'outside the box', combined with a long held passion to actively making a positive environmental difference adds depth to the team at green and pleasant.

Paul's primary role is within sales, but he is also actively involved with project management, product support, and new technology review.

Paul currently lives with his children, Frank and Harriet and a menagerie of animals in the rural village of Elstead, Surrey

Charles Homan: Finance Director

Brought up on the family farm, Charles spent 20 years working in the city as a chartered accountant. Charles joined Haines Watts chartered accountant in Chichester as a general practice partner. Believing in the benefits and ethos of Green and Pleasant, Charles joined the team to steer the company through the interesting times ahead and grow the business for the benefit of communities througout Britain.

Nick Payen: Director

After 18 years working in the city, Nick has been busy developing his graphic design company, AdeptLines, producing websites and corporate marketing materials for a wide variety of clients and businesses. After meeting Julian and being impressed with his vision for recycling and renewable energies, Nick decided to become part of the team and help Green and Pleasant grow into a purposeful and rewarding venture.

Nick, Louisa and their two children, Felicity and Lucy live in Haslemere, Surrey.
